Butterfly Suicide

Two butterflies tried to commit suicide yesterday. They were frolicking gracefully in our back alley, and I tried hard to avoid them with my bike. I steered carefully to the left, for they were fluttering to the right. Then the butterflies flew backwards... almost colliding with my bike tires. I think they missed death by .02 cm.

Oh, and I almost crashed trying to avoid them. Darn butterflies. They sure were pretty, though.

Sounds really interesting. I never heard of butterflies commiting sucide.

I think you can get a ticket for endangering humans to avoid hitting animals.

I think perhaps that the smog in CA is affecting the butterfly population.

This title sounds like it should be the name of a song.

Look at my windsheild on Wednesday, I've hit thousands of bugs, I am sure some of them were butterflys (though most were nocturnal, from coming into the Bay Area at night).

Steph I'm so proud of you! You used the metric system to express how close the butterflies were! As a Canadian, that makes me glad. :) Though, .02cm is also known as 2mm (two millimetres) which is like not even a 17th of an inch! but anyway, glad to see you again at Altoona and hope you have a great day!
