The closer to finals creep, the more boring it gets. I don't know why. For some reason, my professors have backed off on the homework- in fact, one paper was canceled. I mean, I'm not complaining, but now I am bored. I was planning next week's homework schedule, and I have very little to do each day. Hopefully I won't get a ton of assignments between now and then, but at this point, it looks like a pretty easy week.
I can't believe I only have two more weeks of class and one week of finals. Crazy. At the beginning of the year, I thought it would never end. But here I am, almost a sophomore. Good grief. I already did the life-flies-by-too-fast speech, so I won't get into that again. But this semester HAS gone fast!!
Janelle and I are not rooming together for sure. I am going to apply to the two-person suite building and hope for the best! (Prayer would be appreciated.) Our RD asked Janelle to be a prayer leader, so now she's considering staying in this building with the freshman. She hasn't made up her mind yet, but we won't room together either way.
Prayer would be appreciated for one of our professors, Dr. Campbell. He wasn't feeling well over spring break, so he went into the doctor. He found that his cancer had returned, infecting his brain and spinal cord, and was rapidly spreading through the rest of his body. He went downhill very quickly, and is now near death. Last week wasn't as bad as they thought it was going to be, but he was feeling worse again by Friday. Many students are shaken up by this whole ordeal- they had class, went on spring break, and came back to find that he would not come back. Obviously, prayer for him and his family would be great as well.
Also, one of my friends is having a rough time at school. These past couple weeks have been hard for her, she hasn't been happy there. Pray that she decided what to do (stay there, transfers), and that everyone would be accepting of her decision. Pray that she gets through this last month without going nuts.
Thank you! Have a great weekend!
