The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives... To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord... to comfort all who mourn... Giving them… the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. -Isaiah 61:1-3

Amen, sister!
Everyone else should have to change for our personal conveneince. Seriously.
What do you guys think of starting a xanga and giving the password to everyone so that we all could use it to comment? Yes? No? Perhaps?
I think I'll do that. Contact me if you want the username and password.
That's a nice workaround solution, and I'm in favor of it, but I still hate the idea on principle. Xanga tries to force people to get an account in order to participate in a discussion, in stead of allowing the participation and attracting users based on the superiority of their services, to which they will be non-invasively exposed by returning to the site in the future based on a positive experience. Anonymous commenting was a big selling point for me with blogger, and we would be enabling a weak system to thrive by covering up its greatest flaw. The "best" solution IMHO would be to get xanga users to lobby for the option to allow anonymous comments.
So, count me grudgingly in.

that would be so great!

Alright folks, I did it. Email me for the password, along with your 400 word essay on why you should qualify to have a non-xanga account. =)
I tried to switch, but I just like Xanga better.
Nobody hurt me, now. :D
