Ah, The Wonders of Mystery Meat

Standing in line for a hamburger at the caf today:
Girl: Is this meat? What kind of meat is this? It looks weird.
Me: Who knows? I try not to think about it.
Boy: Yeah, it looks a little strange today. Smell it. Then you'll know what it is.
Me, smelling it: Ew. Don't smell it. Otherwise you won't eat it.

I ate it anyway. I haven't gotten sick yet, so it must be ok. =)

It is a 3-day weekend- REJOICE! That means there is a whole extra day to do homework! And watch movies, of course. Sarah is going home, and Janelle was going to go to SF on the Greyhound, leaving me all alone. Actually, Emily would be here, but that can be worse than being alone, haha. Anyway, I was quite depressed about the whole situation last night. But Janelle woke up with a bad cold this morning, so I thought that it was just as well that she wouldn't be here- that way I don't get sick! However, she refunded her ticket, so she'll not going. =) That will make the weekend much less dreary, even though I run the risk of getting sick. It's killing me that Beck gets to go down and see my family. I wanna go too!! Stupid class... Oh yeah, and the lack of a car/ride. But only one more month, and I'll be home for 10 whole days!! I'm flying out of Sac on the 19th (for only $39), spending most the day at the airport- Janelle has a flight 2 hours earlier than mine. I'll be getting back the 28th. I have a ride to the Bay area on Easter Sunday, but I have to finalize the ride from there back to school on Monday. But I'm sure it'll work out. AND... Enough boring stuff on that.

I don't think I mentioned this, but I had my first bio exam last Wednesday. It went well, I'm fairly happy with my grade.

Well, I'm off. I have to read a BORING chapter for my next class. And I might call Dad as well.
Have a great 3-day weekend, everyone!!

PS. I just figured out that my last 3 posts start with "Ah", or some variant thereof.

But you DID get to see your family AND me AND Elise AND lots of other people. Hope the ride back is far better. =)
