*Brrr*

It is really cold here. Weird, because yesterday was absolutely be.a.u.ti.ful. Yesterday, a jacket was unnecessary. Today, if you're not wearing one, you're insane. Even those from colder climates are saying that it's cold. It must be cold! Thank goodness for my awesome jacket.

Virtuous women are obedient, careful, during the husband's absence, because God hath of them been careful. But chide those for whose obstinacy you have cause to dread; remove them into beds apart, and whip them.
- Thus saith the Qur'an (Koran), Islam's holy book, on women.

In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This corner stone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My comforter, my all in all
Here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone who took on flesh
Formless of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones he came to save
Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live

There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious day
Up from the grave he rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sins curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His, and He is mine
All through the precious blood of Christ

No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no fear of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand

-"In Christ Alone" sung by The Newsboys. This has become one of my favorites recently. All you who got a Lassen CD, it's track 16.

Well, off to more homework or something. Or get warm. That's always good. *shiver* *pulls blanket over self*

Still 20 days until Thanksgiving break.

Eeeeeeexcellent, Stephanie. Two posts in one day. You're coming along nicely - should be irretrievably addicted to blogging by Christmas.

I agree on the song selection. Since lassen I have come to really appreciate that song also. Another favorite off that CD is 14 I think. "Untitled Hymm" by chris rice.
