After a long absence... I HAVE RETURNED!!

Sorry about the long delay, everyone. School has been frantic.

I trained for work this week. I am working for the Foundations department. I'm calling the donors to the University to thank them for their donation. Once I get past the nervousness of the first couple calls, I should be fine. It'll be fun!

Our intramural volleyball team made it to the championships!! Signs were posted, bleachers were pulled out, only one court was used- it's a big deal! Well, not really. But people did show up to watch! Our team did alright. We could have won. But alas, we did not. =( We only lost by 2 points both games, so it's not too bad. It was fun! I dug a spike, which is always a good feeling.

I had a Biblical Backgrounds exam Thursday morning. I think I did alright. Probably about the same as last time. We'll see when the grades are posted though!!

Remember that one class I was totally stressing about? The one with the true/false/neither true nor false/either true or false/both true and false questions? The one I had a midterm on last week? (hint: Oral Communications) Well, we got our grades back. OH, MY GOSH I PASSED!!! I was so afraid I was going to fail. So positive. But not only did I pass, I got an A!!!! I was stunned!! I actually had to ask the prof, "Is this my grade? This is my percentage?" He looked at me like, "Duh" and said that it was!! *GASP and happy smiles the rest of the day* Amazing. We have another midterm for that class this Thursday, so hopefully I'll do just as well.

Tonight was SO FUN!! Janelle and I haven't really had the college social experience yet. No driving into town at midnight just for the heck of it. We've been pretty laid-back, and have been going to bed (relatively) early. And watching movies. Lots of movies. But TONIGHT! Tonight was fun. At 8:00, Janelle, Annette, Tiffany, and I watched a movie. When that was over, we discussed the amounts of homework we had, and how we really should go do some. So we went to look for another movie to watch. We ended up in Annette's room, asking her suite-mate if she could drive us to Blockbuster (None of us have a car). So Annette, Janelle, Samantha, Sarah and I piled in Sam's car and drove off. We got a movie, and then went to FoodMaxx. (Any relation to Food4Less, Dad? It's yellow, and set up in a similar fashion.) We got a half gallon of ice cream. YUM!! We came back to our dorm to watch the movie and chow down on that ice cream! It was really good! Six of us almost ate the whole thing. We have about two inches left on the bottom. I am now full of sugar, and not terribly sleepy, even though it's almost 2 in the morning. But tonight was a blast. We want to do this every weekend. It's a fun (and cheap!) thing to do, and it gives us a break from our homework.

Oh yeah. We rock. Matt Leinart passed for 217 yards, and two touchdowns. We are undefeated so far this season, and have won 16 straight games. This is the first time since 1981 that University of Washington has been shut out. A good game.

Today I thank God for: Good times with friends. (And ice cream!)

I miss Food4Less. And Lucky's. All the grocery stores of my childhood seem to have been bought out by soulless entities like Save Mart.

what? and nobody found it in themselves to finish off a mere two inches!?!? *sigh* so much to learn... =)

Oh, beck, we were SO FULL!! Oh, man. Plus we were feeling slightly guitly for eating so much sugar! But obviously not that guilty...
And I found out that FoodMaxx is owned by Albertson's. Food4Less is owned by Ralph's I think.

I dug a spike off the side of my head and it really hurt. For all you who know him, think DJRH spike. Ouch. I missed the SC game on Saturday, but go Trojans anyway!! And yay for finally getting our computer back after two weeks!!! You need to get more sleep...
