My University

~What I have learned (so far) from what we girls like to call S. Bridal University. (And a few tips thrown in for good measure)~
*Homework never ends.
*You never get enough sleep.
*Always eat the fat French fries for lunch. They're awesome.
*If you don't know what it is, don't eat it.
*If the caf workers don't know what it is, don't even consider eating it.
*Movies are awesome, especially when watched with your roommate.
*Always watch movies in your pajamas with your favorite blanket and stuffed animal.
*If you can't identify the meat, or if it just looks disturbing, don't eat it.
*The chocolate cookies are yummy.
*So are the Reeses Pieces cookies.
*Thursdays are the best day for lunch. Chicken quesadillas! Yum... Even better than the French Fries.
*Never, ever, will you be ahead in your homework.
*The quesadillas are the best EVER. (or have I already mentioned that?)
*Take a lot of pictures.
*Get off campus as often as possible (within reason, of course).
* If you want to visit The Stephanator, you are more than welcome. Just bring your homework, and come before lunch on Thursday- it's the best meal of the week. Weekend meals are simply horrible. Bring blue box Mac and Cheese. Or money. We could go out, your treat. Haha.
*Send Stephanator emails, letters or packages. Even better, visit. It can get sad to never see people you know. And surprise snail mail is the best.

Warning: Rant ahead!!
I'm about to make a banner for our floor's lounge that says, "Lover's Lounge." That's the problem with being in the freshman dorm. So many snuggling couples. Good heavens people, you haven't even known each other for 2 months!! Isn't all this a little premature??
*end rant*

Today Janelle, Annette, Sarah, and I went to the pumpkin patch with some of the girls from Sarah and Annette's floor (and a couple boyfriends thrown in for good measure- no, it wasn't mine. I don't have one. And I'm not looking. At all. Just for clarification. =) ). We had a great time finding the perfect pumpkin. "Oh hey, look at this one! This one's perfect!!"
"But it doesn't have a handle. I mean, stem."
"Oh. Right."
We all found good ones. =D It was hard to find cute ones, but we were successful! I have the smallest one. I got it for 25 cents, which is just so awesome. Especially cuz it's just so... cool!! It's about 1.5 inches high (not counting the stem), and about 2.5 inches in diameter. So cute! *awww* I want to name it, but haven't thought of anything. Suggestions?
At this pumpkin patch, we got to pick them right off the vines! I've never done that before. The ones in SoCal were always pre-picked. This was much better. It's like it should be- picked right off the vine. SoCal should take lessons. =) But it was fun, I had a great time. The girls are so much fun!

I have 3 exams this week, plus work, so I probably won't be able to post until next weekend. But I'll try! =D

Have a great week, everyone!

Today I thank God for: PUMPKINS!!

Unfortunately the snuggling couples don't go away, freshman dorm or no. I was out running on the TRACK the other night, and I saw no less than 2 getting all snuggly on the bleachers or what not. And I have to say, that's really funny that you posted your list of what you've learned, because I did that freshman year and was going to post that, along with my senior observations pretty soon. :)

I was going to say something but my attention has been diverted to a guy who fell asleep here in the computer lab and is now snoring.

Cate, to clarify. *ahem* My issue was more that all these freshman couples have known each other for a whopping 2 months. That is hardly enough time to get to know each other THAT well.

TWO WHOLE MONTHS?!?!?!? Thats an eternity for 18 year old hormone driven star-struck lovers (as shakespeare would say). Of course they're all snuggly, everything at school is a new and exciting experience and while you're experiencing all these new wonderful things you might as well add a significant other to the list. Those of us who attend commuter schools don't have to deal with that problem at all. We're just tired, crabby, and boring individuals who don't have the time or energy to flirt or even talk with anyone.

Timothy, my dear Timothy...have I taught you nothing? STAR-CROSSED LOVERS. Star-struck is my roommate's obsession with Colin Firth.

Beck, I totally agree. If only I could have a Mr. Knightly who looks like Colin Firth... My perfect man, haha.
(Mr. Knightly is in Emma- you have seen that, right??)

Name your pumpkin Carlisle after the little worm in Jonah. I thought you told me you had a boyfriend...ha ha. Colin Firth is a little old, but he's still hot(t).
