Well, I got a job. It's at a little smoothie/coffee place in the new ritzy shopping center a couple miles from our house. It's a pretty easy job, but unfortunately, I do not get much practice making stuff because business is so slow. SO SLOW. So I get paid to stand around and do nothing. Hey, it's money. And I'm broke, so I guess it works out for everyone. =)
Oooh, we got new furniture! We got a leather couch, a loveseat, 2 chairs and a huge ottoman/coffetable thing. It's quite nice. And comfortable, too.
I've been reading a decent amount of books lately. I've read 2 John Grisham and 2 Jodi Picoult. Both authors are good, though I think I prefer John Grisham a bit more. Less romance, more adventure. I started Les Miserables.... what was it?... last summer? Anyway, I got halfway through the monster before school started at which point it was not opened again. I always feel terribly guilty for not finishing a book, especially a classic of that magnitude, so I bought the Sparknotes (Cliffnotes, just a different brand or whatever) to catch myself up as to what's going on so that I can finish the rest of the book. I have enjoyed what I read so far... I just don't remember what's going on. =) Please recommend any books that you have found enlightening, life-changing, or just plain enjoyable. I like suggestions, though I don't promise that I will read it. ;)
So yeah, that's been the extent of my life in the past couple weeks. Isn't it riveting? OH. Some family friends of ours let me borrow their car for the summer. It's totally a grandma car, which I think is just fantastic. It's HUGE. I learned to drive on an 12-passenger van, but this feels SO much bigger. And it floats. You just kinda glide along. However, we almost ran into a problem- I had difficulty reaching the pedals. Thanksfully, the seat scoots up just far enough. =) I want to name it Mabel, but it almost looks masculine... maybe Harold or something. I haven't decided yet. So that's definitely an exciting point for me. It's been great cruising around town in this massive boat. Hahaha. I probably look ridiculous. =)

I've vastly enjoyed Expecting Adam by Martha Beck. Great great book. And true.
You should post a picture of the car.
(and maybe I'll visit you and buy a smoothie)
What type/year is the car?
This year's Brit Lit class gave me deeper appreciation for The Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis. I also enjoyed Dickens' The Tale of Two Cities more the second time around...
