Christmas break

Here's a quick run-down of what I did over Christmas break (now with pictures!).

A couple days before Christmas, Abby and I went with a group from church to deliver Operation Christmas Child boxes which we had filled to an orphanage in Rosarito (sp?), Mexico. It was my first time in Mexico though I live only 2 hours from the border. This little girl attached herself to my leg the instant I stepped onto the orphanage driveway, and would not let me put her down until towards the end when she ran around. She was very quiet, just sat in my arms without uttering a sound.

Then, church conference. We went rock climbing one night, which was fun. I wish I was better at it and could do it more often.

Aww look, Abby and Joanna.

This is my super-cute cousin Austin, who doesn't look very excited about the New Year.

Obviously, the Rose Bowl was awesome. Here's me and Dad.

I played in the alumni basketball game with a lot of girls I had played with since junior high. It was good to see them again after what... two and a half years? Something like that. I saw my friends Sarah and Kelsie a couple more times before I went to school, and now, here I am. Back to the old grind.
Last night my friends were nice enough to surprise me with a birthday cake. We also ate pizza and watched The Emperor's New Groove, which is the best cartoon movie of all time.
Today was the first day of school. So far so good. No homework, so I'm kinda bored. That's ok, I'll be not bored soon enough.
