Sometimes the Lord sends along just the right person for a given situation. For me, this came in the form of a guy from the maintenance crew this morning. I had fallen asleep at my computer when he knocked on the door, yelling, "Maintenance!" Who knows how long I would have slept- I had already been sleeping comfortably for 20 minutes. (He was fixing our smoke alarm which had gone on the fritz Friday night.)
I think Faith & Culture might kill me this semester. The prof assigns SO much homework- it's insane. I have time to read the text and do the worksheet that goes along with it, but it's all the extra reading that makes it horribly time consuming. And Child Development! Holy cow! The chapters are like 40 pages long, and each sentence is LOADED with information! How I am going to remember all this for the quiz tomorrow I don't know. (Besides actually reading instead of blogging, I suppose. But that's boring) Plus, I have long meetings for my spring break every week. And I'm working out at the gym. And I have two jobs. I need to work quite a bit because there's something very exciting that I want to do that will cost a bit more than I have at the moment (but I'm not positive I will be doing this thing, so it'll be a surprise if I decide to do it). Oh, I might even have three jobs. I'll have to turn the other one down. I simply don't have time. Holy smokes, I'm going to go crazy. The profs expect you to do 2 hours of homework per hour of class per week. For me, that figures out to 30 hours. Shoot, that's almost a full-time job! On top of classes and real jobs.
Ok, enough griping.
Food for thought, from the astounding inspiration of Stephanie:
I think it should be a legal requirement to have music playing in public restrooms.

And what sort of music would best suit a public rest room? ~Beck's Mom~
Anthing is better than the loud silence. =)
No elevator music though- that can get annoying. (Apologies to all who enjoy elevator music.) =)
Culture might kill you, but I don't think faith will. And I'm forcing myself not to comment on the public bathroom music. =)
