Thankful

The more I know of people's histories around here, the more I realize how lucky I really am. I have a wonderful, stable family who loves me. Yes, sometimes my parents drive me crazy, and it can be overwhelming to have so many younger sisters (Mom, "Why'd we have all these kids, anyway??"), but we are an intact, loving unit. So many people are not so lucky, and I am sorry for that, for they are missing out on an awesome experience of belonging. I cannot imagine the emotional turmoil of not having a home to go home to, or to be at such odds with your parents that you can't go home. I am so blessed to have the family (and friends!) that I do, and I need to remember that more often.
