Back To School

After being gone for most of August, it feels weird to know I'll be in one place for longer than 1 week.

We left for vacation Wednesday the 24th. We dropped my school stuff off at school on our way up to Idaho, making it from school to Idaho in the longest 14 hours of my life. Eastern Oregon is the pits.
The time with my aunts and uncle was great, it was so good to see them again. My cousin also got to come down from Spokane. I've really missed her. We started getting close during my Jr. and Sr. year of HS, but she moved the summer I graduated. Boo. Though we are totally different in many areas, we do have quite a few similarities.

After Idaho, we went over to Moses Lake to visit some friends. I had a little run-in with the pavement after I fell off a longboard going down a hill. Ok, so technically, I was going up, but whatever. I guess I hadn't slowed down as much as I thought... Anyway, my knee is still bothering me, though it's much better than it was. I haven't had to have anyone carry me up the stairs for awhile... =) I enjoyed longboarding though, aside from the fall. I would totally do it again, though don't tell my mom. ;) (Stephen, don't be mad- it was my fault. Wesley, stop laughing at me.)

We spent a couple days in Tacoma area, which was great. Our hosts were just wonderful, we had an awesome time with them. (Hooray for thrift-store shopping!!) They had the YP over for dinner one evening. We had smores, and talked amiably. A few of us played a game later in the evening (I'm a little teapot...).

HL was tiring this year. I don't know what it was. But every meeting was a chore to sit through. I kept falling asleep. Definitely not a good thing. Bunco was fun, though. Loud noise, fast-paced game, lots of people... what more could you ask for??

Sadly, we had to leave Monday morning because alas and alak, school started Tuesday. So far, it's going ok. I'm taking 18 units, so I have a lot to do. Two of my classes are dreadful, but otherwise, it'll be fine. I LOVE my Intro to Social Work class already, and Human Bio with Pam is always a blast. She is the best bio teacher ever.

I think that's all that's going on for now. Just settling back in. If I don't write as often as I have in the past, sorry, I'm taking 18 units. I'm busy. =)

HOLY COW!!! It's almost 11:00!! And I have an early class tomorrow!! (Yes, MistaBlades, I realize you will have been up for hours.) Gotta get to bed... *rushes off*
