Spurs Celebration Post

Dang. Caleb beat me to the punch. I was going to have a Spurs Celebration Post up quickly, but alas. That was a great series, very... weird though. San Antonio blew out Detroit twice, then Detroit returned the favor. The Spurs were able to pull away with a win in Detroit, but lost the next game in SA.
Then... (drum roll, please)... GAME 7!!!
Which, of course, the Spurs won, though I was getting a little worried at one point. I just wish Horry could have gotten the MVP. Not to bash Duncan at all, he's a great player. But he sure choked the other night. Couldn't make a shot. And he got the ball stripped a lot too. Thankfully, Duncan was able to pull it together tonight for a win. I just think Horry is a much more consistent player. And so nice too. Too bad he's so old and already married... jk. =) But congrats to Duncan for getting the MVP for the 3rd time- definitely an honor to a good player! (On a slightly different subject, I don't think Shaq should ever have gotten the MVP. Maybe the first year, but certainly not the next two. But that's a subject for another time.)
GO SPURS GO!!!

Tomorrow is Grand Opening for Juice It Up. There will be a band and free stuff and all sorts of hullabaloo. I work 4 to closing (groan). Poor Erin works from 7:30-4:00. Wait a minute. I've done that before. I've worked from 7:30 to 4:30 before!! I have no pity. Though it is supposed to be busy and crazy tomorrow, so I guess that's more excusable. Needless to say, I will be sleeping in on Saturday morning. I am SO tired. I think I've been pushing myself a little too hard. Running, mowing the lawn, working... zzzzzz... I'm beat. But it's almost the weekend. Almost there, almost there, almost there...

So I was thinking about driving up to SF area with Abby, but I decided I didn't want to pay for gas. I forgot about that part. I'm trying to save for school. Sorry, Cate and Beck. =(

Well, speaking of being tired and worn out, I should head off to bed. I keep waking up early in the morning. Arg. Need... to... sleep...

Goodnight!!

Did you actually sit down and estimate the cost of gas? Maybe it isn't as bad as you think.

Boooooo on gas. Visit anyway. :)
And may I just say that Ginobili looks like Balki from Perfect Strangers? A big, gangly, funnier-looking Balki.

How does the weekend of July 8-11 work for you two? All this assuming I can get the time off work and my parents would let me drive up there. Plus, Abby could help with gas. Hmmm...

Mom and I estimated $100 for gas. And no, I wouldn't help with gas. this is YOUR idea. I would just go because you don't want to drive yourself.

Sadly, Duncan was not consistent- he choked on... the 6th game was it? I lose track. Anyway, he wasn't shooting very well, and he mised a bunch of his free throws. Go Horry!! =)
Abby, if you want to go... ;)

4th and 5th and 6th he disapeared down the stretch. Thats not what you pay your star player to do. He still had a respectable line and put up decent numbers but disapeared when they should have been going to him. Horry deserved the MVP.

Gas wouldn't be that expensive unless you drove the van.
