Today was the last day of class. =D Three finals, and I am DONE!!! Not a whole lot is going on, so here are some odds and ends.
Sarah and I finished dissecting our rat on Thursday. We were having difficulty finding a structure, so we called Pam over to help. She hunted around for a bit before she said, "Whoa!! Look at this!!"
Sarah and me: "Huh?"
Pam (excitedly): "Wow! Your rat is [insert anatomy jargon which I cannot remember]. It has a birth defect! This is very unusual. And it's [even more defective than she thought]!!!"
Sarah and me (clueless): "Oh..."
Pam: "Hey, everyone, you need to come see this!"
Pam: "[Gives an explanation that you will not want to hear. WTMI.] Do you girls mind waiting a minute while I get [the other science professor]? He would love to see this!"
I don't know if I've ever seen Pam so excited. I think we made her day. =)
In lecture, I am now 4 for 4:
1) red hair
2) freckles
3) fair skin
4) have 5 girls in a row in my family (we were discussing genetics, and how statistically everyone "should" have 50% girls, 50% boys- her example was that having 5 girls in a row was extremely rare.)
Well, at least I make life exciting for some people.

They guys here are SO NICE. The other day, Tim told Janelle, "You know, from a brotherly perspective, you look really nice today." Before you all laugh and say, "HA! He was just trying to tell her she looked nice without be a jerk, which is what he really is", I must tell you that this is not so. He is a very nice guy, who always tries to speak honestly, yet with love. He gets rather awkward sometimes because he tries so hard. "Was that ok for me to say? Am I allowed to say that? I didn't offend anyone?" Especially when talking about girls. It gets kinda funny...
As we were sitting in class yesterday, waiting for it to start, Prof. Dummer (Doo-mer) commented to Sarah, "Did you dye your hair? It looks lighter."
Sarah had indeed dyed her hair.
Dummer: "And you, Janelle, you went darker."
I can't believe he notices these things!! He is a MAN for crying out loud! We were rather impressed that he noticed, but he said it comes from having daughters. I must say, not all fathers with only daughters notices things like that...

There was a creepy guy following Janelle and I on our walk today. We were about one long block away from campus when we happened to notice a grungy white car with a scary-looking guy in it drive by. We didn't think much of it until he drove by us again, going in the same direction he had before. Uh-oh. That means he circled around the block. We kept walking (duh), and he drove by again, but this time he had turned around, not gone around the block. By now, we were in sight of the school and the intersection in front of it. He turned left into the houses across the street from school. Janelle and I quickly crossed the street so that he would be on the opposite side if he turned around. Sure enough, he did, and stared at us as he drove by. Needless to say, we jogged the rest of the way into the campus. *shudder* I am so glad I was not by myself.

Why is it that when you think you have written the worst paper of your entire life, you get a good grade on it? I don't understand. Maybe I should start writing terrible papers... ;-)
*still another topic- don't worry, I'm almost done*
I am going to DIE next semester. I'm taking 18 units instead of 15. Bye-bye GPA! Though at the awards chapel today, all the grads who were cum laude were awarded their cords (or whatever they're called). I am motivated (ok, determined) to get at least one cord. I will graduate at least cum laude. I will, I will, I will. Anyway, I'm taking 3 psych classes, one of which is statistics (for our research project). Yup. Going to die. As a sophomore, I'm taking 2 junior level classes. Which is fine, I guess. I'm took two sophomore classes this semester, and it wasn't too bad. I think the general ed isn't so much "grade" level than when you should take it in your educational career. But I think I can do it. I'm taking 15 now, and I do have down time. Plenty, in fact. Which I suppose could go to a bit more studying. But hey. I'm doing fine. Relaxation is nice. =)
Ok, now I'm done. Wow, that felt good. I haven't blogged for awhile. Actually, it's probably only been two days, but whatever. I have felt the need to write. Oh no!! I'm addicted!! Beck, what have you DONE to me???? =D Just kidding.

Good, set a goal for yourself--that's the only way I survived the last semester--"I've worked so hard so far, I can't give up now!" You can do it :)
And how is it that there are FIVE girls? Are you hiding a sister somewhere?
Oh rat anatomy . . . thanks for sparing us the details. Yay for being almost done though!
