We left school and headed to Sac airport 9:30 Saturday morning. We arrived safely, and quickly checked in. Janelle's flight left at 1:05, and mine left at 3:55, so I had a lovely burrito lunch by myself. I attempted to do homework, but no such luck. I am too much of a people-watcher.
My flight left without delay, and we soon landed in Ontario. Grandma met me at the airport because my parents were at a basketball tournament whichI have always wanted to attend (but I'm not bitter- haha). Grandma and I went to Island's for dinner. They have good salad!
Sunday and Monday were pretty low key since I was by myself. I again attempted homework and again failed miserably. I spent both Saturday and Sunday night at Grandma's house because I am a scaredy-cat and don't like to be home at night by myself. =D
The family got home around 9:30 Monday night. We unpacked the car, Abby talked my ear off, and we eventually went to bed.
The next two days were uneventful. There were the normal things to accomplish: basketball practice, babysitting, Bible Study, etc.
Thursday night we headed out for Oak Glen.
Oak Glen was fairly relaxing this year. We missed you, Tim!!!! I didn't play as much volleyball as I wanted, but basketball was fun. For some reason I had an easier time keeping up with Banjo Ed than Abby, but I think it was because I was tired when I played Abby. But overall, gym time was good as always.
I really enjoyed the singing this year. I think my favorite part of Oak Glen 2005 was when we sang in the cafeteria (for more information, go here). Here is a lovely picture of people singing.

Singing At Lunch

We hung out on the bridge for awhile on Friday afternoon. We had just watched the Baby Got Book song, which is HILARIOUS, by the way (go here for the link). Anyway, here are some of us on the bridge.

Bridge People

And here is A-Rod. Enough said. ;-)

I drove back up to the Bay Area with the beck's family, which was fun. We played a game, talked, caught up on some much needed sleep. There are pictures, but it is too much trouble to post them. =D
We arrived at the house around 6:30 or so (???) We had a yummy Easter dinner of soup, and MistaBlades kindly made us peach pie for dessert (YUMMY!!). Cate came over later in the evening. =D It was so good to see you, Cate!! I can't wait until you visit! AfroPuff and Alaina came over shortly after Cate. Beck, Beck's Mom, Lady Lisa, and Alaina watched a movie, while Cate, TAB, MistaBlades, AfroPuff, and I talked about motorcycles. Well, some people talked about motorcycles. Cate and I started our own conversation. It was great to see everyone again.
I left beck's house around 11:45 this morning, and here I am back at school. Blah. I want a longer break!! But only 1 month left, and then SUMMER!!!! I am so excited.
Well, I'm afraid this will have to suffice. I realize it's not terribly captivating, but it is almost 11:00, and I have been driving quite a bit the past two days.
Hope your Easter weekend was great!

When's the next big "thing" in southern CA? I'm planning on Shallowbrook, but probably not Lassen. I guess there's beck's wedding, (which, like Lassen--though not the after-party--is in the north). Maybe I can extend the length of that visit and do a trans-state tour. Come to think of it, you're also in the north. This all seems so incredibly foreign, yet fitting; I think we're becoming grown-ups.
=)
Hope getting back into the swing of things at school is easy. Almost done!
