Here I am, safe at home. We left Beck’s parent’s house at 10:30 Friday night, and got into OC at 5:15 the following morning. It was a long drive, but a safe one. Thanks for driving Beck! And TAB, too, but Beck did most of it.
We drove the truck, which got rather squishy for those of us in the back. The very, very good thing about being short is that I can fold up easier. Poor TAB and Becky.
I slept at Beck’s grandparents’ house for 3 hours, then struggled out of bed cuz Mom was picking me up at 9:00. We then went to my best friend Lady Katrina’s house, and also got to tour the one they’re building. It looks very nice!! I’m excited to see it finished.

One thing I have neglected to tell anyone. I dyed my hair. That’s right, it’s not longer red. Well, it still is red, but a different color red. It’s more of an auburn color now. But don’t worry! It looks good! At least that’s what people tell me. “Of curse, I am no judge on hair color, but my friends tell me it looks good.” (Ok, people, what movie did I rip that from??) Tonn, at least I am not “shorn” this time. =) I dyed it the Saturday before I left. At first, it had a definite purple tinge, but after I washed it, it looked fine. I didn’t tell anyone (except Lady Katrina, Beck, and Lance), so it was a surprise for my mom when she picked me up. She took it well (thankfully). And no one else seems to mind it, so it’s all good.

So anyway, the big reason I went over to Lady Katrina’s house was because she had dyed her hair too and we wanted to get our picture taken together. Two college “rebels”… oooh. But just for the record, neither of us did it out of rebellion. We both thought it would be fun and something different. Plus, it’s just hair, so it’s not a huge deal. Look at it this way. A bunch of people went out the last weekend before break and got tattoos. I dyed my hair. Now which is worse??

Our annual church conference starts on Sunday, so there is a busy week ahead of us. Today we clean, clean, clean and cook, cook, cook. Mmmm… cookies. We have fewer girls staying here than we did last year, so it’s not quite as stressful. Last year we had 11, but this year we only have 4 (5 for two days). Quite the drop. But it’ll be fun, I’m looking forward to seeing everyone. =)
