Weather!!

Today, it rained. Yes, WATER, coming down from the SKY!!! I hardly know what it is. And holy cow, did it rain!! Janelle, who is from Oregon and thus thoroughly unimpressed, said that this was not rain. Whatever. To Southern Californian me, who rarely sees such phenomenons, this was definitely a LOT of rain. And here it comes again. The exciting thing is, this is more than just rain. Lots of wind, lightening, and thunder. SO EXCITING!!!!! Wow. I love storms. And now the rain has stopped. It will pour like I've rarely seen for around 3 minutes, then stop. Completely. Oh my goodness this is so cool!! And (almost) best of all, is I get to wear my new rain jacket!! I've never had a rain jacket.

I marvel at the beauty of all the things God has made in creation that are naturally so mesmerizing. Water (especially the ocean!) has such a relaxing tone to it. And I never tire of staring at a fire. Sitting at a window and just watching the wind blow through the trees is one of my favorite things to do. (Sadly, not much homework gets done those days. Hehe.) I love to fall asleep to the sound of rain pattering on the sidewalks. Thunder and lightening send chills down my spine. All these make me sit in wonder of God's awesome power.
