This one's for you, beck =)

I am back by popular demand. I was going to post last night, but my internet connection was Slow Beyond Belief.

My roommates and I have decided that we will do no homework after our last class on Fridays. It is not allowed. So Janelle, Matilde, Laura and I went to the tail end of a tail gate party for our girls soccer team, and then to the game. I've never been to a soccer game. I have come to the same conclusion as before: soccer is boring. But I'm not complaining, there was free Pepsi. Though the bathroom was devilishy hard to find. But it was fun. Good times, good times.

Saturday consisted of sleep, powder puff practice, dorm picnic, homework, homework, dinner, homework, movie. We went to early service on Sunday so we could do more homework. I did hours and hours of it yesterday. Janelle and I made flashcards for our World Civ terms that we need to learn for tomorrow's exam. All 100 of them. Way too many terms if you ask me. But the prof says that he is testing from the terms on the sheet and the map locations, so there won't be any surprises. Which is nice. But when he told us last week that the average grade last semester for this exam was a D+, that had me kinda worried. A D+????? Good grief.

But hey. I only have 4 days of school this week. Oh yeah. I love Columbus. A four day weekend!! How much better can it get?? Not much. I love holidays. ;) I'm going to the Bay Area to visit some friends, so I'm excited. It's going to be great, even if I sit and do nothing at their house. =)

Chapel was awesome this morning!! One of the songs was "When Peace Like a River" or " It Is Well", whatever the title is. That one always chokes me up because every time I sing it, I think of Ruby. *sniff* And then the speaker today was telling us about her husband's recovery from a ski accident which caused him to be a quadriplegic. He is now able to walk. It was an amazing story, and I think almost every girl in the place was tearing up. It was truly incredible to hear what God had done for their family during that time. It was an emotional, but very good chapel. I love chapel!!

It's our last Powder Puff game today. Last out of 2 games. We're playing the sophomores and quite a few of those girls are HUGE!!! We have a really small/short team. Most everyone is about my size, one girl is smaller and shorter, and 2 are taller and thinner. So yeah. It'll be interesting. But we have a great trick play. It's hilarious, even if it doesn't work.
QB: Hike!
Center: (stand up, holding ball) Oh, wait we've got the wrong ball.
Coach on sidelines: (Holds up another ball)
center: Here, QB, will you trade this with coach?
QB: (takes ball and lightly jogs to sidelines, but not off the field. When the coast is clear, QB sprints down the field for a touchdown)
Our QB said that her brother's team tried that and it worked. So if we're desperate, we'll do that one. It's all legal. The center hikes the ball, and hands it off. The QB never steps off the field. That would be so awesome!!! I hope we use it. =)

Well, that's all that's exciting for today. A World Civ study session is not exciting.

Have a great day!! Especially you beck. =) (You need to show me how to link people. You know, so if I wanted, I could have made the above "beck" be a link to your site.)

Sarah Kate, you're turning into an East Coast-er. Wicked awesome?? Remember your Californian roots!! Everyone around here says "hecka cool" or "hecka [whatever]". Must be a N. Ca thing?

Uhm, maybe you should phone that play in to the KC Chiefs. I think they could use the help tonight. ;)

Cate, thank you for the words of wisdom. Dang it, I missed a game the other night. ;)

G, my sister's favorite team is the KC Chiefs. Who do I like...?? Hmm.... Shoot, I can't remember. Shows you how much I follow/like pro football. =) I like Carson Palmer, who is on the Cinncinnati (SP!!) Bengals. They aren't very good, but that's ok, they have Palmer and cool helmets. And Sapp (can't remember his first name! Ryan??) cracks me up. I do not like the Raiders. So there you have it; Stephanator's quick run-down on pro-football. And all at no charge. Life is good.

LOL. Warren Sapp. ;) And the Chiefs won last night, so your good vibes must have paid off. :)

Yes, it's Warren. Don't embarrass yourself. Unfortunately, I missed the Chief's/Ra..ven..'s (was it the Ravens? I forget) game on Monday night. I forget what I was doing. Oh well. And don't forget Matt Leinart, Heisman candidate, QB of number 1 USC team!!! I'm ashamed. you mentioned pro Chief's football before USC football. Must do schoolwork. Advanced Math is waiting impatiently. But I'll put that off as long as possible. Soccer is only boring to watch. It's pretty fun to play.

You like the Indianapolis Colts with Peyton Manning. Funny nose, but good thrower. Are you going to be able to watch the USC/Cal game?

Right. Indianapolis Colts. Peyton Manning. I could envision the blue horseshoe on their helmets, but I couldn't remember who it was. And of course USC is the best! I was talking about pro football! I'll be able to see part of the game. Have fun! Think of me when you're there. Be sure to sit in the front when you listen to the band so Drama Queen can get the full effect. FIGHT ON TROJANS!!!!!

Seeing as there was 90,008 people there, and we got to the band at 10:20 when we should have gotten there at 9:20 to get a good seat which was impossible to do because we didn't get to LA till 9:00, we ended up at the back with a bunch of tall men that I can't see over. I can't imagine how you would have felt. I'm 3 inches taller than you...=) Have fun this weekend!
