Hooray for weekends!!

Especially 4-day weekends. HA! To you who did not have one. I'm not sure if I mentioned this before, but I went down to the Bay Area with my roommates. We stayed here on Friday to do homework(me)/shopping (Janelle and Em), so we headed off Saturday morning. Em and I dropped Janelle off at her sister's house and stayed for lunch.
--
Em and I then headed to Fremont to visit my friends, the BikerFamily. (Although I am not sure if that aptly describes them. Only half of them have a passion for bikes. Oh, well it shall have to suffice. I am not in a creative mood.) I have known them for oh... let's see... 17 years. Anyway, we got there around 3:30 and hung out until dinner time (yummy! Pizza!). We continued to hang out until we rented, and proceeded to watch, Secondhand Lions. Which I recommend. It's a cute movie.
--
Sunday morning we went to church, came home, reheated pizza for lunch (or had it cold, whichever one preferred), and relaxed some more. Around 1:45, Em went on her way back to San Francisco to visit some friends of hers, and I went with TAB and MistaBlades on their bikes =) to Big 5 to look at guns. Now understand this. I have not a clue about guns. I have learned more about guns this weekend than anything else I previously knew about guns put together. Ok, that made absolutely no sense. But whatever. I would tell you what gun TAB wants, but I don't remember how to spell it. But it was fun, I enjoyed it. AND! I got to hold one, even though I'm underage! *insert impressed, "ooohhh"*

Slowly, painfully slowly, I'm learning more about bikes too. I prefer a sport bike to a cruiser (sorry, MistaBlades). Red bikes are the best. =) I know, I should be more concerned with engine type or something like that rather than color. But since I know nothing about engine stuff, I shall have to stick with discussing color.

Sunday night we went to the beach. It was quite nice. We had a bonfire which everyone argued about over the course of the evening.
"It's hot."
"But more wood on it."
"Um? Wouldn't that make it more hot?"
"No, the embers are putting forth all the heat. If you put another piece of wood on it, the heat will be concentrated on the wood [or something like that]. Put more wood on."
"No."
We had some good talks, and some silly talks. We also had a mini impromptu debate session, which almost hinged on the two. I think it turned out more silly than anything, even though the debate itself was rather neutral. I did realize one thing though: I am not a very good impromptu debater. I think I got the hard side of the issues though (why we should legalize marijuana- cuz it's natural? God made it, ya know.)
I enjoyed inside jokes with Lisa. It was fun, wasn't it? =) What we could have done with the hose. It was a missed opportunity. Next time...
*points at someone walking down the street and laughs hysterically* Good times.

I got a ride back up today (Monday) with two other girls who live in Fremont area.
--
I am so tired though!!! It's only 8:00, but I am ready for bed! So I think Janelle and I are going to watch (another) movie. I'll do homework tomorrow. Nothing like procrastination.

The Summary:
The weekend was very nice, it was good to see people who I've known for more than a month and a half. I enjoyed it. Thank you, BikerFamily!!!!! =)

Oh yeah, Sportbikes are better than crusiers. It's good we could at least engrain that critical point into your mental processes. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself this weekend, it was fun.
