As the title points out, this entry is an introduction. It will be quite short, so I can move on to more interesting things. I have given this information out so many times in the past 3 weeks, that I am quite sick of it. To commence.
*ahem*
I am a freshman college student at SU. At this point, I am majoring in psych, though if that changes, that's ok. In chapel this morning, the speaker showed a video of poor little orphan kids in Asia (I think) with a moving scripture scrolling across the bottom. It was so moving I can't remember what it was. How irritating. But anyway, I really like kids, so I was thinking about taking a missions trip to an orphanage at some point. I would definitely consider children's missions.
I am the oldest of 4 girls, so I am the first to go to college. No, my dad doesn't miss having boys. My sister, TheOnlyBrunette, and I love sports. We play basketball and volleyball, and watch football and hockey. We also get season tickets to USC (U. of Southern California) football games, so we go to lots of football games with him. So he gets the best of both worlds. :)
I've been homeschooled all my life, and no, I'm not too sheltered. I loved the experience, and wouldn't trade (most of) it for the world. Yes, there were times I wanted to go to public school, but most the time I really didn't mind being home.
Hmm... anything else? Not that I can think of. Now to move on to more interesting things.
Writing class was very interesting today. It's not a traditional writing class. At least nothing like I've ever taken. We're reading this book called A World of Ideas, which has parts of books or articles that famous people have written. We then answer the questions at the end of the chapter, and discuss it in class. We often stray waaaaaaay off topic. Makes me not miss Bible Study so much. ;) So today, Prof. Philippian was almost 10 minutes late to class. Why? Because he had fallen asleep in his office. He was explained why he was so tired: his son has been waking up several times during the night over this past week, thus waking him up too.
Student 1: Why does he keep waking up? Does he have to go to the bathroom?
Prof: No. He's a pain.
Students: *laugh incredulously*
Student 2 (me): Is he teething?
Prof: No. He's just a pain.
Students: *laugh hysterically*
Just for the record, he did clarify that his son was not always a pain. Just right now.
Also, did you know that California is the 7th largest economy in the world? Yup, we're just talking CA. We're not including the other 49 states. Pretty cool huh?
So that's what we learned in ENGL 1220 today. Among other things. But those were the most humorous/interesting.
The first Powder Puff football game is today. Go US!! US is the Freshman class. I believe we're playing the juniors. I saw some of them today, and found that we have a lot of short, small freshman. Hopefully I won't come back in a body cast. It'll be fun though. Our team name is Petras. No, not the '80's rock band. The big rock thing in Israel. Immovable force. *aarrrggg* So we made T-shirts last night. I am number 23 as usual. :) They turned out pretty well. My roommate is taking pictures, so no worries! I will figure out how to post them!! Or if I can't figure it out, I'll email them to all of you who know me.
Homework is calling me. I have 2 exams this week. Blah.

Ha. Immovable force. Yeah right. =)
Similar to my Noodle Armed White Girl?
I discovered a new link on Beck's blog, so came over. The 'big rock thing' called Petra is in Jordan - and is very interesting. I hope there are no broken bones at your Powder Puff game, and that your tests go exceedingly well! ~Beck's Mom~

Right, Jordan. Knew that. ;) Thanks for the correction!! :)
Stumbled in on a random click. One question: SU is ... ??? I'm guessing the U is for University, but the S is stumping me. So far I've come up with the following: Samford, Stanford, Seattle, Southern, Syracuse, and Synovad. Somehow, I don't think I've got the right one just yet.
